Carson Sweeney has been named General Manager of Fergus Electric Cooperative in Lewistown, Montana. Carson, and his wife Jamie (Colver) are both Lewistown natives. The couple is excited to move back home with their two young children to be near family and friends once again.
For the past nine years Carson has worked with NorthWestern Energy, most recently as the Manager of Distribution Operations Control in Butte, Montana. Jamie, currently an RN with St. James Hospital in Butte, hopes to work within the local medical community.
“We are privileged to have the opportunity to return to Lewistown and to become active members in the community. I look forward to working with the employees and members of Fergus Electric to continue providing reliable and affordable energy services for many years to come.” said Carson. “The Cooperative has a great history throughout the fourteen central Montana counties it serves, and I appreciate the opportunity to be a part of that going forward. Though not related, Scott Sweeney and I share many of the same values and commitment to supporting our local communities. I am fortunate to have a number of weeks to spend with him prior to his upcoming and well-deserved retirement.”
Scott Sweeney, current General Manager, has worked for the Cooperative for 41 years and is expecting to retire near the end of June.
